I have reinstalled it, had brand new game like, and nothing, works in singleplayer but then any server i connect to forces the game to crash instantly

I had a problem like this before, turned out I had disabled downloads from servers in the multiplayer settings.
where do i go to do this?

Nvm, it was set to download all custom files anyway, but i toggled it again just to make sure but it still doesn't work, thanks for the reply, any other ideas?
I even deleted steam, and all my games, and nothing, NOTHING IS WORKING
Could it be your firewall blocking connections?
With no details you shouldn't expect an answer. We need more details if you want an answer.
I can't give anymore details, I literally have no idea what is going on, it just will not let me connect to any kind of custom servers, It says it's connecting, then it blackscreen's and crashes, literally nothing else to say. and it isn't my firewall settings mate :)
Could you please provide us a link to your steam page, so we can be sure you've got GMod for real, and not a pirated version?
