• Multiplayer freezing after playing about 5-10 minutes

So, whenever I play multiplayer (DarkRP or SCP-RP, most of the time), after being on a server for approximately 10 minutes, my GMod freezes. I mean, it sort of semi-freezes. I can still hear all sounds, move around and so on, but my screen only shows me staying still. I've got all settings set to medium or low, my computer can definitely run GMod. This problem only occurs in multiplayer. If I play in singleplayer, I can play for an hour without any freezes and/or other problems. I've tried reinstalling GMod, reinstalling Steam, verifying the game cache but nothing seems to work. Please help. I feel quite stupid.
there's no errors or anything? it just freezes for no reason all of a sudden? Also, you said you can play for an hour without problems in singleplayer, does this mean you did have problems or that you just played for an hour and nothing happen?

I've sort of found a temporary fix, however, which is that I just need to have all settings as low as possible. Then it works semi-well but still occasionally freezes.
I'm sorry for digging out a one month old topic, but i actually have the same problem. My GMod started to freezing right after June 1st update. It happens after 10 to 30 minutes of multiplayer playtime and the symptoms are basically the same: screen freezes, but sounds are still playing in background, i can hear everybody's voices etc. My settings are all on High, but it's not a hardware issue since the same PC can handle hours of GTAV playtime on mid-high settings. I've also checked if it isn't overheating issue, and in the crash moment all temperatures were fine. There are no logs or minidumps in GMod folder. Re-validating game gives "1 file failed to verify" message after every GMod session. I have currently tried to re-install the game, to turn off all of the custom addons, to validate files of all mounted games (only CS:S atm) and to validate GMod files countless times. My specs are: Intel Core i7-2600k (not overclocked right now) NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 8GB RAM plenty of hard disk space
Make sure to turn off steam cloud when reinstalling...
Okay, I did it again, this time with Steam Cloud turned off. The only thing I have left are maps, which I can't afford to download again (weak internet connection ftw). The problem remains, sadly. Any more ideas? :C ___________________________ EDIT 06-06-15 Updating my graphics drivers probably fixed my issue, played for 15 or 20 minutes and there were no freezes whatsoever. EDIT2 06-06-15 20:09 CET False alarm, they're still there. :X
