how do you change a player model into a ragdoll?

I google it and all I get is turning a ragdoll into a player model, but I want to know the opposite.

That's because you don't need to convert them, a player model is a ragdoll with animations

Okay. So how do I put a player model in the props/ragdoll menu, or any another way I can access it as a ragdoll.

Go to the Browse menu to find it.

If you put the models in the garrysmod folder, it should be in the folder "Garry's Mod" in the browse menu.

If you installed it as a addon, it should be where the addon's name is.

It should be in the models/player folder, but in the Browse menu, it's in the player folder.

I found the player models on the spawn menu, but their icons are the big error props and when I try to spawn them. nothing happens.

That's because you have the model in your game list, but you don't have the actual model file. You need to download it, or own the game if it's for example a Terrorist model while you don't have CS:S.

But I can play as them as playermodels, how does that make sense?
Also these models are fan-made.
