• How to "unfreeze" a proop while leaving his pose intact?

Hey guys, sorry for such a stupid question but after spending half an hour staring at GMOD default tools I didn't find any creative way how to make this scene happen :( Basically I'm making my first GMOD short video. I need a proop "Scout" to pose as if he's talking to the Sniper by the window. Then an object such as microwave will hit Scout and he will fly off the window. Any advice how to make this scene happen? I'm not sure what combinations of tools to use. If I use phys gun to throw an object nothing will happen because Scout is "frozen" due to posing so he's immune to the knock backs. If I unfreeze him, then he will fall on the ground. I need him to be hittable by objects while leaving his pose intact before the hit. Thanks in advance, RobiePAX.
Use the Statue tool to turn the ragdoll into a statue, and then unfreeze it. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] proop :v:
Well, I tried to use statue.. I don't really see how would it help me :( Also I don't understand how to make the "tick box option" to work so it would unfreeze proop if you shoot at it as it says. I tried to use statue with tick box on, and shoot. Nothing happens >_< Or either I'm a very big noob...
Weld the scout to the ground or wall with the appropriate maximum force set. So when the object hits the scout, and exceeds the maximum weld force it will automaticly unweld him. Hope this helps. Edit: When you select the weld tool, there is a slider to set the maximum force.
Meanwhile I'm trying out to use timescale. Few people told me many YouTubers use it for exactly these kind of scenes.

dj_night thanks a lot man ^_^ Exactly what I was looking for. I never knew you can break the Weld unless you undo it yourself.

Mhm, now I encountered a bit different issue.. :( I kind of... messed up all the windows on the map and there's blood on the walls now after I tried to make "statue" tool work.. I already made few quite accurate poses so I don't want to lose them.. If I dublicate(save) the props poses and restart the map to restore the windows and clean walls the dublicates do no save on the restarted map x_x I loaded back to previous save and trying to figure out what to do now.. Is there a way to save poses and restart the map?
You can go and set the decals limit to 0... Should work. Max decals option is located in: Q Menu -> Options Tab -> Performance -> Tweaks After you set it to 0, go to some wall where you don't need to take pictures/record and shoot an entire clip of the SMG against the wall, those bullet holes in the wall are decals and by placing them there by shooting, you're deleting the other decals (in this case, blood).

Though I still have a problem that windows on the map are broken.. But I guess I'll just try to re-record it from the different angle hidding the broken windows in the background.

You could save the poses with Advanced Duplicator which comes with the Wire Addon. Unlike the normal Duplicator tool, the Advanced Duplicator can save your contraptions as text files and you can load them in any server that has Advanced Duplicator.
Just in case if you didn't get what I meant by "broken windows" I meant this >_< Screenshot EDIT: Wire Addon? Ok, I'll check that out. I guess you can't just "do stuff" with default Gmod tools, a lot of custom addons needed to be downloaded first. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] dj_night again thanks a lot :) Saved the poses, restarted the map, pasted them back ^_^ I surprised why community are making "better" tools than actual developers, or maybe they just don't give a crap. Oh well, back to Gmod.
