Stuck seeing the loading screen but hearing game sounds?

This is a very odd issue that i've never encountered before, i searched for answers, but any problems relating to being stuck at the loading screen were answered with reinstalling, i've done this as well as deleting the garry's mod and garry's mod beta folders' remains before reinstalling, multiple times, and i've tried verifying game cache files

What happens is when i load up any map, the game loads, i hear the sounds, but i'm stuck seeing the loading screen, screenshots turn all black, the main menu and console don't appear so i'm completely blind, cl_drawhud and r_drawvgui doesn't remove the loading screen, i do have addons and such, but i removed all of that and had a completely fresh installation, still happened, it's even happening with the Garry's Mod Beta, which is weird because i especially don't have anything for that except a few Workshop things that i know for sure work

I've had the same models, addons and whatever for a long time now and only about a week and a half ago, maybe even two weeks, the game and it's beta decided it's just gonna stop working, it only doesn't work on my computer, it works fine on my laptop

Between the time it's worked and the time it stopped working, i haven't downloaded anything for Garry's Mod nor have i tampered with any files that i shouldn't have, on the computer overall, the only program i can think of that was installed was that anti-virus program, Avast, but that wouldn't disagree with only Garry's Mod for some reason, would it?

I doubt it's Avast but you can always try disabling it temporarily and run GMOD without it. If same issue appears then Avast is not related to this problem.

Try updating your video card drivers.
