I have a mid range PC which me and my friend made, I can run almost every game in 4k at max settings 60 FPS, but then I decide to go and role play, and I choose to go on a server such as fearlessrp and it feels like I'm running a game off some dell netbook made in 2002, now if it's a good day and no ddos attacks I get about 20 FPS. Is this normal, I mean I get high FPS when I go on darkrp servers for 'fun' and their usually unoptermised scripts folder leaks and prop spammers and I run it fine at 140 FPS, can some one explain the problem here?
The server sounds to be as unoptimised as shit. Just leave the sinking ship if the developers aren't doing anything ( ha, developers for a DarkRP server. )
Just so you know; DDoS does not affect your FPS. Ever. It'll only stop the server from being able to properly communicate with the clients.
Try other servers like my own ( We're working on client optimisation recently. ) and gauge if there is an improvement. From there you're old enough to make a judgement as to whether its the server, your PC or Garrysmod being a shit.
