Garrys mod crashes my router when loading server list

For the longest time garry's mod seems to crash my router when ever I go on the server list. It usually happens when I start to load internet then click history. It resets my internet every time. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

The only proper fix is to get better Internet connection/router.

A workaround is to lower the "Max Pings" setting in Steam. This will result in longer server search time in all Steam games.
