How do i host a server so it shows up on the list? (of servers)

Hey guys , im a noob when it comes to doing this , and need help

Youtube is just giving me non-working bull , or stuff i do not yet understand.

I would like to be the admin on the server , i downloaded RP from garrysmod.org (2.5.3)

a text tutorial would be great or a video tutorial.

I think my ports are fowarded. i heard that it's a necessity when it comes to hosting a server of any kind.

My username is Watermelon , just mentioning it.

If that made no sense to you, you have little chance of being able to run a server.
