Lights spawned with the light tool don't produce light on any setting. They have the shine effect around them when turned on though. I did a lot of fiddling with my graphics and settings recently, but I thought I reverted everything back. Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I've already tried fiddling with my DirectX level and turning HDR on and off.
These are set on full brightness and radius:

Garry's Mod uses the latest version of the Source Engine, and the lights use dynamic shadows which requires the highest shadow setting and fiddling with the DirectX setting isn't a good idea, you need to be using the latest DirectX which it should by default.
You'll also need a proper graphics card for this to work correctly, some laptop graphics cards and especially Intel ones may struggle, and make sure your graphics drivers are up to date
GMod uses 2009 source, it's far from the latest version. Lights do not use shadows at all, since they don't cast shadows. Lamps do, not Lights.

I'm on a laptop, but I'm running a Radeon HD 6770M. I'm pretty sure my drivers are up to date. The issue arose when I went mucking around in my advanced graphics settings to lower everything so that it practically looked like I was playing Doom in order to spare as much computing power as possible, then eventually undid those changes to get my game running pretty again. I assume I flipped a switch and forgot to turn it back.
Is there any way to completely revert graphics settings back to default?
Bump.
