Gmod gets black screen randomly and freezes the game

I'm having this issue that Gmod would black screen after a while of playing and I have to wait for a while for the game to return to function. Anyone can help me?
CPU: I7 860 @ 2.80GHz
Graphic Card: GTX 550 Ti
RAM: 8GB

Well your specs certainly aren't a problem. Make sure your drivers are up to date. With specs like that you'll also want to make sure that your PC isn't overheating. Also try removing your add ons/any workshop subscriptions temporarily to test if it works fine without them

I'm definitely sure that my drivers are updated, I'll try the the workshop though
Edit: The black screen sadly still exist, though I can say it did boosted Gmod's FPS, so I'm thankful for that
