Gmod hl2.exe crash when joining multiplayer servers. - Help

Whenever I try to join a multiplayer server, hl2 crashes right when it gets to sending client info. I've tried: Clearing cache Clearing bin Re-installing Joining single/multiplayer first Removing all add ons But nothing will work. I get the same issues. Are you attempting to join an RP server or something such as spacebuild?

Try playing gm_flatgrass or gm_construct, I think its a glitch with Gmod. Hopefully it get's fixed in Gmod 13 Then play the server :3

New update: now I can't even launch Gmod without black screen flickering and BSoD. Now I have to launch with safemode and THEN put it to fullscreen and max resolution once I'm in game. This same shit has been happening in TF2 for months now too. Why do source games hate me.

Have you tried re-installing the game and/or Steam?

I don't think i've heard of someone's computer BSoDing due to source. Have you installed anything recently that may have contained a virus?

No i haven't But it's working now, apparently the whole server was screwed up and was restarted because something was corrupted.

Seriously? I made this thread months ago and solved it. Why you had to bump it I have no idea. Also the problem wasn't because of the vgui it was the server being derpy
