Failed to get sound buffer - error - Any fixes?

I've recently been getting a strange error, that will loop the last quarter second of sounds or so, and continues to do so until I change the setting that picks if I play sound in the background.

I've updated all drivers, none were out of date. I haven't recently updated drivers, and can't see to find a fix for the life of me, and am wondering if anyone can help me out.

EDIT : I didn't read the sticky, my bad. I can't seem to find the button to delete, so if anyone with power could delete or move me i'd be thankful.
