Need help setting up a server

Hi all, a friend of mine had an VPS and we want to set up a DarkRP server, but we have no idea, can anyone give me a guide of how can i make it??

Now i need help again, i need to know how to make step by step how to make the fast dl for the dakrp and the addons, cause i only can download maps.

What operating system are you running on it? Linux? Windows? Mac?

I have already set it up, but now im trying to configure the fast dl, it downloads maps but i dont know how to make the addons and the gamemode download.
