Alright, my situation is that when I start up Garry's Mod, I get... nothing. At first it was a black screen, in which there was no sound or indication of anything. However, when you go to the desktop, task manager said it was running normally. I tried to switch back to it by clicking on the icon, but that did nothing but make the screen pop up for a second or so and go back down. Then I used task manager to switch back, and it was just a black screen. I've tried to verify the cache, but that just replaced a file that was 503 bytes I think. That didn't do anything. I exited and re-opened Steam, I deleted ClientRegistry.blob, but nothing. Something I should note is that if I went into the launch settings and set it to windowed, instead of a black screen i got kind of a see-through screen in which I could see my desktop through the Gmod window. I can't click on anything though, not even the taskbar. I have to click the windows button on my keyboard and then click on a program on the taskbar to get out of there. Also, if I bring up any other window in the Gmod window when it's windowed (enough windows), it leaves like an odd, trippy effect. Like I'm painting with the window and the Gmod window is the canvas. It's bizarre. Anyway, I need help. If you have any idea of what to do, tell me.
Oh, and I removed the addon folder. So it's not that.
EDIT: Oh, and now it always opens windowed. It's not in the startup options. God dammit.
OK here's a fix i found, IF Your a Windows User (Dunno about Macs :/ )
Make a new Windows Log-in Account and use it, for some reason, this works..
Also, a Temporary fix I've heard and seen is a Skype Call.
Call a friend and screen share, Start Garry's Mod and it works. This is only temporary though.
I personally had to use the New Windows Log-In fix.
There should be a better solution than this. Someone report this on Github please.
