Steam closes when using anything workshop-related.

Okay, so recently i've been having troubles with using ANYTHING in Garry's Mod related to the workshop.

Because of this, I'm unable to download ANY addons, or use the new fancy creations menu in the spawnmenu.

This was [U][B]NOT[/B][/U] a problem in the beta.

Whenever i use ANYTHING related to the workshop (Only in Garry's Mod), My steam closes without warning or error. Garry's Mod itself then freezes. (Without crash dump. I have to manually end the task)
I've searched on google, and cannot use "Search" on the forums due to lack of privilege. But generally i skimmed over a few pages of the forums relative to the release of the new Garry's Mod, sadly I was unable to find anything like this, or an accurate diagnosis or cure for this problem.

OS: Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm noticing that it happens mostly with addons that have custom particles and the like.
I have noticed addons such as SCars Extra/Basic, gm_construct history and such being the culprits most of the time.
No idea for dupes, though.
