I know it's supposed to be installed in steamapps/USERNAME/garrysmod. But since that's the old version, I installed it into steamapps/common/garrysmod but still not working. Someone please help.

Use gm_bass
Do you need that module anymore? Garry added bass into gmod.
It adds a few functions that haven't been implemented by Garry. Unless he's using them on his server, I don't really know what he needs it for.

Where do I put this?
The addons folder. Double click on the script once you put it in the addons folder to install the bass modules. Make sure you've deleted the old bass modules first.
