I was wondering if anyone of you would have a clue why my server is crashing more ofen when vac is enabled?
Because when it crashed, It just close without saying anything at all. I think it leaves a dumb-file?
And I can easily share that dumb file with you if you can help me :D
I ran a few tests. And i can see that my server is crashing more then twice as much when vac is enabled? I think :P
But again I cant see if it's vac that cause the problem but it just started to happen when I enabled vac on my server.

Hmm... are you sure it's the VAC causing crashes?
Try and post a dump file. VAC is slightly important on servers.
Well. It began to happen when I enabled it. So my best guess would that its that causing it. But again im not completly sure about it.

Hmm I dont know if you can see it in the dump file because I have never tried to actually open one because I dont have the program for it????
But can you see which map the server is crashing on? Because Maybe its a maps fault?
But i never experiance the problem with maps because soo? :D

"Hackers" in GMod aren't banned by VAC.

Although the VAC doesn't actively ban users in game, the VAC keeps all users who have been banned for hacking on other games, and are notorious for steam fraudulence off your server. So yes, it is important.
Okay lets say it is vac that is cauceing this problem and i want to disable it.
I guess that the chance to actually meet a hacker would be higher... so..
IS there somekind of Addon or command that would harden my server against hacker? Like an Anti-hack? Or do you guyz have any recommended addons?

And I know that players who are vac banned cant join vac secure server... But im pretty sure that if a guy who join my server which are vac secure and he is aimboting and wallhack and all that stuff. Im sure that vac would ban him then. Not immediately, but it would still ban him?

But i can see what you guys are saying. That players dont get ban anyway for hacking so it dosn't matter, But i just like to have it on because if people are vac banned its because they have hacked/cheated in some kind or sort in a vac secure server and i would like to keep those guys out because the chance that they will hack again is higher than a not vac banned guy :).. If you understand :P
VAC is shit, It does almost nothing except keep people who have pirated the game out of the servers.
Therefore, keeping VAC does nothing useful. It doesn't ban hackers, that's what GAC is for and it only bans hackers garry picks up (modules and injecting and cheatengine) but doesn't actively block hackers.
You're best bet is code you're own anti-cheat. There is one by [URL="http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1261484"]>>oubliette<<[/URL] but I've had problems with it lagging the client every 5 seconds.

Hmm maybe I will turn it off again... But i would just like to why it does that... because it kinda annoying :D....
But again it could also be a map which im not sure about... if there is a "crazy prop" or something that totally crash my server... But it just start happen when i enabled vac, but if you guyz say it dosn't do shet anyway then i will turn it off again :D

Not correct. You can be VAC banned in one game and still play GMod.

Well, not always. I have had many complaints of folks using aimbots on CS:S, and later finding out that they were banned on other source games. Not sure if this is persisting, but it has happened.

When you get vac banned, you can not join any server which are vac secured :D... thats probably how much i know about Vac :P

I got VAC banned about 5 years ago for attempting to Aimbot, but I was a little kid back then.
I can still play GMod on all servers

im pretty sure you cant play on vac secured gmod servers... But there have just been a problem with vac that made clients to timeout so many hosts (including me) chose to disable vac for a while :)
but if you can play on vac secured servers then you are just a lucky guy ;)

You only get VAC banned in selected games...
