Ok so when i fire a gun in gmod i get this smoke that comes out and this smoke makes my fps go from 80 to about 20 - 30 its horrible when your having a gun battle!

So please can someone tell me how to fix this and make it so my FPS stays the same, Also u would give the person a reward (a game) if they help me here is my inventory

As it's M9K, type 'M9KGasEffect 0' in console.
It will stop your FPS drops.

M9k gas effect people actually get fps drops from that? Wow
Well all it does it blur your screen so I can't see where the fuck did my target go, did I miss or did I kill. Now I know why everyone is so bad at this game when I play on a server using m9k
m9k is in general a terrible base imo. use CW

I had the same issue on my old PC, specs were mid range at the time (2014), no idea what the issue was other than the stupid gas effects. Of course the TTT server I was on wasn't smart enough to include the command to turn the effect off.
Imo most pcs should be able to handle this. That's why I want to know his specs
