Game freezes as soon as I start it ** I spent 8 hours yesterday trying to get it working** need help - Help

Every time i start the game it goes to a blue screen with loading... in the bottom right. It doesnt move from there, if i leave it for 5 seconds or 30 minutes it goes no where and i ctrl alt delete to see its not responding, when I end task I get a hl2.exe error (but not before end task). Don't do -dxlevel 80 or w/e, DirectX 8 is broken on GMod. Try reinstalling again, but when you do, make sure you turn off Steam Cloud in Options for Garrys Mod in Steam. Also a dump may be shown in the garrysmod folder (not garrysmod/garrysmod) Upload it to [url]http://dumps.metastruct.uk.to/[/url]

I turned off steam steam cloud and it still doesnt work, is there a reason to reinstall it again, I have done it atleast 10 times? How does that website work what do I browse and upload exactly? You browse to your Steam/Steamapps/Common/Garrysmod folder and upload the Dump that's supposed to be in there. EDIT: I just noticed your card. Might be your GFX drivers, I heard there might be problems with 200 series cards and GMOd (heard, not confirmed)

well I have the most up to date drivers for everything I can find on my computer, I also dont see any dump files in there, what would it be called exactly?

I don't have any dumps on my computer any more, but they should end in .dmp and start with HL2. EDIT: If the reinstall didn't work, try unsubscribing from all your addons, deleting them from the addons folder and then starting Gmod up.

Dumps aren't generated if you have to end the program yourself. Try putting -dxlevel 95 in your startup parameters. Nothing else in there except that.
