When i play gmod on my computer, which is a pretty decent computer, I get anywhere between 8-25 fps. I want to increases this. I play on dxlevel 8 to help. These are my launch options:
-dev -novid -windowed -height 715 -width 1364 -dxlevel 70 -full -console -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd
I have the res like that because i play on linux and it is hard to close gmod when it is like that.
Here are my pc specs:

The only problem is it as a 1.8ghz processor but i figured because there are 4 and it is 4 core it would compensate.

Should add: OS is Debian Wheezy
gmod only runs on 1 core by default, gmod_mcore_test 1 to run multiple (unstable)
if you get that bad framerates, you should probably consider an upgrade anyway
gmod_mcore_test 1, console or command line? If commandline, plus or minus?
