So, yup. As the title says. It's been freezing, when I start up it will stop working and it will lag my computer. And when I join a server it will stop responding, lag my computer and will sometime freeze it. Now, my computer isn't the best for gaming, but it use to handle Gmod fairly well. Until I started playing again, then Gmod started acting up. But, my computer won't do this with TF2. So, I kind of think Gmod is the cause of this. Now, I understood that Gmod will lag when connecting to servers if you have too many add-ons. So, I took the liberty of uninstalling Gmod and start with a clean slate. And so far, the only thing I have added on is GMod Tower, GMod Stranded, Hunger games and a Zombierp server. Now I'm sure if you ever played GMod Tower you know that they could basically make a game out of it with all the stuff you have to download. So, I'm wondering if that could be the cause. But, another problem I'm having is when I join this zombieRP server. It will download then stop at MOTD.txt and not actually download until I have to forcibly close GMod all together. Can anyone help me or am I the only one having this problem?
Have you tried joining without any addons?

I currently uninstalled everything. And started up GMod and it loaded without any problem. Right now the workshop is updating GMod with all the items from the ZombieRP mods. I'll get back when everything is complete.
Update: It stopped at MOTD.txt and once again it almost froze my entire computer.
