Hello everybody!
The thing is, i want to make DarkRP server so hard, but my skills aren't good enough for that. I need only basic things, to make the server work and the interface look simple. If someone wants to help me, add me in Steam! Steam name: Niskuo
So pretty much you want to be a server owner but someone else to do all the work to set it up?
Wrong section btw.
I'm surprised no one has jumped on this yet. I mean who wouldn't want to do all the work for a young kid just to have them take all the donations and have power to do whatever they want. Then, he'll kick you off of his "amazing" community. The community goes down and he'll keep all the money. I mean, I'm just being honest. You don't want to "make DarkRP server so hard" you want to farm money from innocent people so "hard".
If you REALLY wanted to make a server and really cared about it, excluding the money, then you'd sit and Google shit for days trying to learn about it. You'd look on wiki's and things like that. You'd watch YouTube tutorials about how to start. You'd practice with a skeleton gamemode.
"My skills aren't good enough", isn't an excuse. No one just gets up and knows how to do it. They didn't know anything either, but wanted to learn. Besides, you knowing how to do this yourself would be great. Think about it... You can pick exactly what you want to do. You have full control and you know what's being added into the gamemode. You also don't have to worry about the other owner screwing you or something going bad. You become self-reliant.
There's your inspirational speak or some shit like that for the night.
Oh yeah, go to Coderhire if you don't want to do that. Start saving up money!

What the fuck is wrong with you people... Google didn't help, ok? Im not after money, i want to make gaming community. Im not a young kid. I don't need coders for this.. But fuck it, gmod is fucked up. All players are dickheads and nobody can't help me with the basic things..
Google does help, i started my community last year, october 24th. I used google and youtube to help set it up, then I invested my own money on a proper host. The only help i've had is when I've come across lua errors causing stuff to go wrong. Everything else I've used google/youtube to see if anyone else has had the problems and looked for a fix.
Despite LuaNoobs blunt way of putting it, he is correct with the way you just want to farm money. SteamCMD and copying an SVN is the easiest thing ever (Excluding adding a map to the server).
If you want a gaming community, don't look for darkrp, especially if you're not a "young" kid. DarkRP attracts the kids, yes I had darkrp, I'm 17 but i never went on the server because of the kids. Want a game community? Go for TTT or Prophunt or something like that. You won't get anywhere with the attitude you have.

I did too, but there is no help for my problem.. why is it so hard to understand...
1) read the SteamCMD tutorial - google SteamCMD and you will find it..
2) Then the server files are there...
3) Get the SVN for darkrp and svn checkout in the gamemodes folder
Isn't that hard, everything can be found on google.

But when i put "app_update 4020 validate" in SteamCMD, it says CWinPerfCounters::Init<>:Failed to add \LogickalDisk<C:>\Avg. Disk Queue Lenght to performance monitoring.
