So recently i have tried using a map on my server, de_dolls. There is no weapon at all? How may i fix this? I see other peoples de_dolls map with loads of weapon but when i try installing it, theres no weapons, sometimes theres barely weapons. I have also tried joining a de_dolls server and using that map on my server but no use
You have to manually place weapons using this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=119928922 The positions will be saved as a text file that can be sent to clients.
Weapons aren't always built into it. Maps that aren't designed specifically for ttt most likely won't have weapon spawns, hence why yours is empty. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=119928922 Download this, open it up the map in sandbox, press Q and equip the tool and then go around placing guns wherever you'd like. Once you've saved it, a small .txt file will be sent to garrysmod/data/ttt and it'll be named after the map. Place that inside your server's map folder and it'll be picked up either upon map change or the next starting round.
I have tried that but where do i place the text file after im done?
Garrysmod/maps on your server.
so thats all i need to do? Extract the text for the the maps folder and it will automatically pick it up while loading the map? Do i need to rename anything including text
so thats all i need to do? Extract the text for the the maps folder and it will automatically pick it up while loading the map? Do i need to rename anything including text
Mhm, it's very simple once you get the hang of it. No need to rename the .txt file, it should automatically be named after the map it's working with.
Still no signs of weapons. I placed the de_dolls.bsp into my garrysmod/maps folder and my de_dolls_ttt.txt into the garrysmod/maps folder. Could there be anything wrong? Do i need to rename the bsp into ttt_de_dolls.bsp?
Strange, my version of de_dolls did not need rearming
Can you please link the downloads [editline]6th November 2013[/editline] bump
I believe this is the version of de_dolls that you are looking for. It has the weapon spawns hardcoded into the map, so if you have custom weapons installed on your server, you will have to modify the core of the map. http://www.f2bclan.com/gmod/ttt/maps/de_dolls.bsp.bz2

the problem is that when i open the server, the weapons doesnt appear, am i doing something wrong? My map bsp is named de_dolls.bsp and the text is de_dolls_ttt.txt.
What folder did you put the txt file in?
garrysmod/maps. I put it in where maps belong
