But I compressed them all with bz2, shouldnt .lua look for the bz2?
The ".bz2" part of the extension will be added automatically for you. Just remove it from each line of the Lua script.
I have removed all the .bz2 lines but it still seems to not download at all, any one suggestions??

The web server appears to be configured wrong. The files exist but can't be downloaded.
Now it does download maps but doesn't download player models.
It didn't download as .bz2 and it doesn't download as normal files either, i've tried them both.
So what can I do to fix that?
Open your console after joining the server, look for similar errors to what you posted.
If you see them, try entering the link in the error into your browser. It should start downloading your file.
Make sure the file paths are all proper. Make sure you have resource.AddFile for all the files you want downloaded.

the files the console is trying to get don't exist, they arent even in resource.lua, so im not sure why its requesting them that way.
Anyone with a solution :D?
maps dont need to be addresourced, besides that i dont see anything wrong with this.
maps automatically download you dont have to tell the client to download them
(there are some workshop issues with map downloading but mostly they are downloaded automatically AS you play them not all at once)
Yea I've removed maps from the resource.lua, figured that out after hours of browsing trough google
I just can't seem to figure out a fastdl solution, as of now I have maps downloaded from fastdl, the mapvote icons in "materials" are also downloaded from fastdl, and all the models are now downloaded from workshop...I feel sad to have that as a "solution" after getting my own webhost services.

You can download the files just fine manually
no, all folders inside of the addon folder are mounted to the root directory, for example
all addons/materials go into /materials
all addons/lua go into /lua
on gmod start, the folder "addons" i believe does not actually exist in the gmod environment unless you create it.
