I think this is because its detecting my intel instead of my nvidia
How do i make it detect my nvidia or how do i force shadow setting to high
Put -dxlevel 95 in your startup parameters. Not sure about the graphics card mixup.

the dropdown box maximum is medium. this happens when an intel card is detected. This happens in every source game except css.
Even though the nvidia is being forced STEAM is thinking that the intel is the current active card.

After saving your settings, check your console for any file write errors,
I had a similar problem where all the graphics were stuck on low, even though my settings were set on full
fixed it without bios
-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180
it will reset graphical settings
