Garry's Mod not downloading multiplayer content after re-install

I recently re-installed STEAM to find that Garry's Mod has stopped downloading custom content from multiplayer servers. I can't download models, materials, addons, etc. from any servers. I've asked a few friends and am at a loss for any solutions.

hey levin,

from the main menu, go to options, then the multiplayer tab. make sure the dropdown menu is set to allow all custom files from servers.

Wow, this whole time I thought it was allowing custom files but for whatever reason it wasn't. Thanks.
