• [HELP] Best server host for us?

Hi all. Im pretty new to Gmod, but got introduced to DarkRP a few days ago and have only played this mod. My friends and I want to open a server, as we dont like other servers. We are pretty damn serious RP's. But what specs would it take to run a good Dark RP server? We have been on servers that had been laggy if there was too many props + it has a prop limit but that didnt help at all for the lag. We are thinking about running a 32 slots RP server but maybe increase it later on. Which server host would you recommend? I know a lot of good server hosts for counter-strike and other games, but not gmod. We have no expectations for the price. We have been looking at www.gmod.eu but we are not sure. We want to hear what your experience are and wich server provider would be best for a Dark RP server that can handle alot of hard work ;) Thanks in advance Kh4zy [editline]17th November 2013[/editline] Anyone? :O
There are hundreds of threads in the Garry's Mod General Discussion about this. Do some searching first.

Id recommend a cheap dedicated server or VPS, 2-4GB of ram to be safe running linux. (as Garry's mod runs a lot smother on linux) Im unsure if can post an actual company to recommend but i will go ahead (sorry mods if i should not have) www.tcfservers.com I run my community of their servers and they are awesome they really go far for the small guy any issue i have (most are which not actually to do with server but just my stupidity but they help anyway) They emailed me the other day saying they are updating their website and to use the panel if i wanted to order anything so here is the link for that also. If you're looking for simple shared hosting I recommend UltimateGameHost. They're very knowledgeable about Garry's Mod and have a very in-depth control panel that's DarkRP oriented. (They know what the majority of their consumer base is.) At $0.75 a slot that's a total of $24 monthly, which could cover a VPS, but again if you're not fond of the idea of getting your hands dirty then I would go with these guys.

If you look online you will see reviews about them with the same problems worst money I have ever spent. http://www.gsptalk.com/topic/1904-review-ultimate-game-hosting/

Im not sure. We are only planning to run 1 server atm [editline]18th November 2013[/editline] I have been looking at this: http://www.verygames.co.uk/config/1/Game_server the middle for 25,09 GP, would that run a gmod server with dark rp, with 64 slots without lag, web server and a teamspeak server?

If you're looking for a VPS, you could wait for cyber monday and see what deals come up. Last year I got a Windows VPS from SolarVPS with 8 gigs of RAM and 4 cores for $25 a month during their Cyber Monday sale. It was more than enough to run a few servers we had at the time. As far as UGH, I haven't used them in over 2 years and it looks like they've changed for the worse, that's quite unfortunate to see. I've always used US hosts though so I can't really make a good European suggestion.
