Hello, I have encountered an issue with weapon sounds, in particular ones from addons, as they simply don't play. I can hear all other sounds and even sounds from non gun related mods but when it comes to m9k, cw, or others I can't hear anything. I heard deleting a file from your scripts folder or deleting your sounds folder works, but considering I don't believe gmod has even had those folders for a while, I am fresh out of luck. Anyone got a RECENT fix for this bug?
Do you have any content packs in your addons (CS:S, EP2, etc)?
Can you try removing them all?
I took a shot in the dark and tried simply deleting the game_sounds_manifest INSIDE the two packs, it actually worked. Thanks friend! For some reason some sounds like footsteps and flashlight changed to what I am guessing is the cs:s ones, but very small price to pay for getting my gun sounds back.

You can fix this by mounting the actual games or downloading CS:S through SteamCMD and using the mount.cfg.
