I am admining a community and on our DarkRP server hackers are somehow able to hack into the console and ban everyone
How the fuck does that happen ? Pretty sure our RCON password is secure and our hoster is not a stupid kid who puts server.cfg in the downloadurl
what could it be ?
1: set rcon via startup parameters
2: check your adons for a Backdoor

Most likely what you had just said. Never ever put the RCON pass into the cfg remove it completely from the config file and put it in the command line start up or however you start your server batch file etc.. use +rcon_password
As states above, except Ill explain it a little better.
Step 1. Locate your server.cfg and remove the rcon password from there.
Step 2. Add the rcon password via a startup commandline.
Step 3. Check all your addons and make sure you have installed all of them and they have not been installed by the 'hackers'
I'm only an admin, and not much more, I suggested those 2 things on the forums yet they locked my post with the reason " No and no ", guess nothing I can do

I'd leave that community if they are that ignorant.

If they don't understand that lua can't access anything outside of the garrysmod folder and they still don't put the rcon password into the command line, then they are somewhat dumb, like kila said. Best just to leave
