Is there a solution for weapons ejecting error signs instead of ejected shells? I tried downloading an addon to fix it, but it hasn't helped. All of the other posts about this problem went unanswered. I would largely appreciate the help, since the error signs make it nearly impossible to see after shooting.
Things I have tried:
Verifying cache of Gmod, HL2, and CS:S
Downloading CS:S Shells textures
What guns?
Any of them. I tired shotguns, rifles, assault rifles, SMGs. They all eject error signs instead of shells.
Does this happen with the default HL2 weapons? Can you link me to a pack you tested?

You need CS:S for those shells.
I have CS:S. See the top post. I just started having this problem yesterday after 4 months of GMod with the same weapons.
Do you have it actually mounted? You are missing the models, not textures.
Mounted? Which one, CS:S or the addon? How do I check that?
CS:S. On the menu, go to the bottom right and click on the game controller.

SOLVED. I unmounted a metric crapton of addons, and then actually played CS:S for about 20 mins. Gun now ejects shells instead of ERROR signs.
