Been having this problem lately, in where the default explosions look like a shitty explosion image. I know this is probably caused by an addon, but is there a way to find it, or fix it?

Well then you have the painful process of disabling one by one till you find it I guess, but you say that it's be happening lately which implies that it's probably an add-on you installed recently so disable them first then others that are more likely to cause such MS paint like textures.
Alrigth sorry for the bump but this problem is getting on my nerves. Now not only it happens while im playing singleplayer, but also on multiplayer. And since disabling addons doesnt work for some stupid reason I cant find whats causing it. I've tried everything, from deleting particles, reinstalling and deleting the gmod folder, verifying cache and deleting config and it still happens. What the fuck is causing this problem, is there anyway to fix it?. Can someone pass me the correct explosion textures to see if it fix something?

It fixes it with another explosion which doesnt look bad, and I can replace it with the hd one. Guess it's a fix for now
