So, I load GMod, connect to my server, get to the final "Sending client info.." and it freezes. The square is still spinning, but the bar isn't. I looked everywhere, and I saw nothing that fixed it.
It's just me that has this problem.
I verified game cache,
Deleted addons (all),
Wiped my server and my client clean,
No luck.
(Server IS up to date, others can join no problem)
Well if the square is spinning than it is actively doing SOMETHING. If it freezes, that's nothing to worry about unless it NEVER joins.
Are you ever able to actually connect?

Try "sv_parallel_sendsnapshot 0" in your server's config.
No. When I connect, it stays the bar.

Then you may have addons that send many data to player during their connection. Try to remove some of them.
This only happened to me in GMod 10 / 12 i cannot remember. But it hasn't happened since.
But i think this is a fix.
Go to Options > Multiplayer > When a game tries to download custom content to your computer > Set it to ((( Do Not Download Any Custom Files )))
And then try rejoining. It could also because of a bad connection, or people are spamming prop's in the server etc.
FIXED:
Someone was prop spamming like 2000 chairs.
