missing client.dll ( please read) for the love of god i just want to play gmod
12 replies, posted
In the past I've had to reformat in order to play gmod.
after a month it breaks again.
I've had to reformat a dozen times just to play gmod and im getting tired of it.
I've made posts in the pasts before with similar problems, but with a slightly different error, and i never ever got any help.
Matter of fact, when i google my problems, my old thread is always #1 result >:(

WHAT HAPPENS??
1. launch gmod
2. counldn't load garrysmod/bin/client.dll (crash)
3. if you try to launch gmod again, it forces a download of the whole game again, but does not download a client.dll

Please don't try to help if you are just going to offer basic troubleshooting, I need someone who knows wtf is going on :(

Could you give us the list of programs you installed before gmod? Maybe there's something that installs awesomium on its own and causes that issue.
You're not the only one with this issue so any way to trace back the problem would be appreciated.
