• Garry's Mod Crashes when i join a Server

A a day ago, My game would show "hl2.exe has stopped working" after playing for 5-10 seconds on my friend's server. The game, however, was still playable, however, after a 10-30 seconds wait, The game would close itself even if i put the hl2.exe has stopped working message to a side. When i realized the game was still playable, I decided I should disable the hl2.exe has stopped working window that comes with Windows. Once that was disabled, I was given a new error but it gave me a good idea as to what the problem was. Now that the error window was disabled, Whenever i joined my friend's server, Gmod would close itself AT THE ULX MOTD. So i asked my friend to disable the ulx motd upon joining. However, what we both didn't know was this also caused the motd to never open, even if you typed !motd. I could join during the 1 hour that the motd was disabled, However, my friend enabled it again due to the fact that !motd did not work, And told me he would not disable it again, So i need at least a temporary fix for this. Here is a list of all i have tried: 1. Disabling the windows error screen (dwwin.exe) 2. Disabling windows firewall. 3. Verifying the gmod files. 4. Using -dxlevel 81 as a launch command. 5. Changing the texture and model quality. 6. Deleting client-side.blob 7. Joining single player and joining multiplayer afterwards. 8. Telling my friend to restart the server 9. Re installing gmod 10. Renaming the GarrysMod/garrysmod folder and verifying the gmod files. 11. Trying the console command cl_allowhtml 0 (And raging because the command doesn't exist anymore all thanks to Garry when it's quite a useful command) 12. Turning my pc on and off again. 13. Searching Google for 12 hours. 14. Re-installing steam 15. Deleting some random awesomium.dll in a folder other than gmod's folder. 16. Reading the mdmp file and looking for problems (none) 17. Checking the console for problems (none) My specs: OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Version 2003 Service Pack 2 (Is on "Minimum" for the steam page) CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 5000 Dual-Core Processor 2.21 GHz (Between Minimum and Recommended.) RAM: 4.00 GB of RAM (Better than Recommended) DirectX Runtime Version: 9.0 (Recommended) GPU: GeForce GT 640 (Recommended (DirectX Level 9 Card)) |- Driver Version: 320.11 (Nvidia) |- DirectX Support: 9 |- CUDA Cores: 384 |- Graphics Clock: 1045 MHz |- Memory Data Rate: 4010 MHz |- Memory Interface: 64-bit |- Memory: 1024 MB |- Memory Type: GDDR5 |- Video BIOS Version: 80.28.3D.00.11 |- IRQ: 17 |- Bus: PCI Express x8 Gen2 |- Device ID: >BLACKED OUT< |- Part Number: >BLACKED OUT< Please help. I need a perm or temp fix to this. Any fix will do, But don't suggest a thing I've tried above unless I've done it wrong or I lack a requirement for it or I've done it in the wrong order.
