Converting all addons to legacy addon - Faster startup and loading?

I have around 4gb of addons, mostly models I gather since I like to pose and scenebuild, which made my gmod startup rather lenghty and sluggish, I was wondering if converting all of them into Legacy Addons would make my gmod boot faster.

No, it would make it slower in fact. The whole purpose of .gmas is to keep the "file searches" to a minimum so the game spends less time searching the filesystem for files.
