'Gmod finished loading' but loading bar not finished

This has happened for weeks, and it completely stuffs up my computer to the point where I have to manually shut it down.
What might be causing this?
Did you try reinstalling & deleting addons?
Have you tried verifying game cache? Also post your specs if you want.
I had this problem too back on my old laptop, it's caused by having too many addons. The best thing you can do is either unsubscribe from them or get an SSD for gmod. I have over 1000 addons and my SSD can load them in <5 minutes

I've verified game cache many times, it doesn't work. Surely someone has experienced the same issue as me?

Yes, didn't work. I deleted them from documents anyway.

I am too.
Go to your GMod folder and make sure nothing, such as awesomium_process.exe is set to run as administrator or any other compatibility setting.
