Error Message 'Missing shutdown function for COM_InitFilesystem' SRCDS

As i go to start up my dedicated server i get the error message: 'Missing shutdown function for COM_InitFilesystem'

i have tried updating the server multiple times and this has still not helped (also using -verify_all)

It has been like this for at least a week now, so if anyone has any ideas, please help.

have you all tried wiping out your garrysmod folder and re-downloading?

Oop! Got it!

Here's what I did to fix it:

I mashed the keyboard in a fit of rage, and deleted the

hldspudatetool_.mst
Installrecord.blob
Clientregistry.blob

Files in the \srcds directory, and than updated the server.
Hope it helps!

Haha just got this error again and as I go to search up the error, it comes straight back here.

if you get a missing shutdown file and the server wont start or anything delete your bin folders then do a update and you should be good

This is an old thread.
Try updating to the latest version?
Delete the bin folders?

I've not had this problem since 2013....
