How to get addon files to show up in file browser?

Before reinstalling gmod i could see any addon files in sound browser/ material menu / and in browse of all game files. But after reinstalling it i cant get them to show up, they are still in the game i can see/hear those files but cant manually find/browse which is annoyng.So how can i enable that browsing again?

I meant not the additional browser, but to register addons files to show up in normal ones like wire e2 sound browser

Extract them to your sound folder

Oh I thought you meant reading the sounds from the .gma and not the sound folder
