Is it legal for a server to have Screen capture script that will screenshot your game and apparently steam or steamoverlay to view chat's ect...
nothing is stated in this server's ToS or anything just would like to know seems abit intrussive.
Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm really not sure but I think it depends on where you live or where the server is located.
Yeah totally I use it on mine to catch people that bypass my anticheat.
the only thing render.capture can capture outside of the game is as you stated, the steam overlay, if you are tabbed out or in windowed mode it cannot capture outside that window.
legally speaking? 99 percent sure it's legal, maybe not in some countries but what can you do? it's a game server and no court would even consider taking some sort of action against it.
