So after the newest update some things happend, first of all I launched gmod and my screen was frozen. I used shortcuts to get out of the freezed windows and go into the gmod folder to search for any new changes, then I see outdated files in the addons folders. Now what the hell is this? What did happend why is it outdated whats that?
My addons are redownloading like some of them, I guess these that are outdated but why?
.outdated files is what gmod renames the files before updating them. It has been like this always.

so why alot of my addons got outdated?
Because a lot of your addons were updated since you last opened the game? Or the game for one reason or another failed to clean up those files, for example when you closed the game while it was updating, or if it froze/crashed while doing so.
Either way, those files are completely safe to delete.

So its also part of the IOs failure so yeah and the same way to fix it works the same as normally so you can use it and fix it.
