Ok, So I reinstalled steam, and downloaded HL2 And GMOD. I tried to start the game, and it went to the part of the game where it shows the background but still says "Loading" In the Corner. I closed it, and then I saw It automatically started downloading
TF2, Day of Defeat Source, and Counterstrike Source. Then I looked in my [B]steamapps/*insertname here/garrysmod/garrysmod[/B] folder, and saw that it was missing maps and models folder. It only has addons, [B]bin, cfg, gamemodes, help, lua, materials, resource, scenes, scripts, setting, & shaders folders[/B], [B]channel log & game info txt docs[/B], [B]cl & sv database file[/B], and [B]garrysmod.fgd[/B].
The scripts folder only has another folder in it called 'content_accum' that has nothing in it.
I really need help on how to fix this.
Everything else is mounted directly from the GCFs. If the games that are downloading are mounted in GMod, then they'll automatically download. I don't know how to unmount a game without starting GMod, though.
Yes, but if I want to add something, should I just make a Maps file and a models file?
Yeah, just make the folders. GMod will see everything in the directory whether inside or outside the GCFs.
