First of all, i would like to say hi to everybody, I'm new here and this is my first post. Okay, now for the problem. I was playing Garry's mod on the GreenZone server [U]74.91.113.34 [/U] and all of a sudden i couldn't move and started mic spamming, and somebody changed my name to something stupid. I turned off my modem immediately and used the task manager to shutdown gmod quickly. Did my account get hacked or is this just a sick prank? One of my friends also experienced this and he was fine afterwards, no problems with the game or the account. So my question is : Is this going to affect my gmod and/or my steam account or is everything going to be fine? Thanks in advance for any responses. :smile:
There are several admin mods that allow them to take control over players in a server. This includes changing names, controlling you and how you look, etc. This was a prank, I am sure of it. You got trolled, friend. When it changes your name BTW, it only changes it for that server and rejoining will fix it easily.
But that about the mic spam is that also possible through some admin mods or not? And thank you for the quick reply. :wink:
