This is the announcement for the Mine-Dog.net Rally Racing League! What is the MDRRL? It's a group of spergelord Garry's Mod players from Mine-dong.net and abroad hosting a series of rally racing stages using ACF as a system of balance and powering the cars.
These races have prizes! And cars! Lots of cars! And possibly dong if you're into that kind of thing (talk to waxx, he likes the dong)
What're the rules?
There are 4 classes. Group1, 2, 3, and 4.
Group 1 use 1.6 liter engines and have a weight zone of 1000-1300 KG, and must use only one axle for propulsion (use either rwd or fwd).
Group 2 uses the 2 liter engine, and has a zone of 1500-1800 kg. You can use any amount of wheels for powering for this group.
Group 3 is unlimited. Any engine, any weight! The only requirement is that you have only four wheels and balls of titanium.
Group 4 is Rally Raid. We haven't quite worked this out yet- but it will included 4wd trucks with purpose made v8s for acf. Google rally raid if you don't know what it is!
How do I compete in this shit?
Simple! Build a car, and make sure you follow the rules for the group you want. The only requirement outside of the group rules is that you have four wheels and a full body. Remember, no thrusters or applytorque to power your cars! It must be done entirely with ACF. In the download at the bottom of this you'll get the sounds for the purpose made engines. We've included a public car, called the Akare 4RS, more detailed info is in the pack download below. It's a tough bitch to drive, so you may want to make your own car!
So, what do I win?
Mine-Dog.net has pledged $10 on steam towards the winner of each championship. The championships will take place every other weekend and include new tracks and groups.
Fuck, I'm european and the servers are hosted in the US. What do?
Don't fret. We'll line up a european server for you gay foreigners to compete on! If you're in the UK though, you should get around 120 ms on our servers, which isn't horrible. We've seen people in Switzerland get 150 ms.
What if I don't have EP2?
You can have someone drive your car for you, or you can accept an average of all the other racers times. Sucks, but who doesn't have EP2 these days?
Can I have a co-driver?
Hell yes! But remember, only one of you can get the full prize unless you want to split it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, here's the first event. It'll take place this weekend (probably sunday, apr 1st).
Event 1 requirements:
-Group 1 car. This event will only be group 1
-DIPRIP
-EP2
-Gm_mobenix_v3_final
All the tracks and stuff will be in the pack download for you to practice. There will be 3 stages.

Readme from pack:
This pack includes all required sounds and dupes for the MDRRL group 1 event.
This pack includes:
-1974 Akare 4RS Mk2 Rally Car (in five flavors); you do not have to use it, it is for those who cannot build their own car. It is a
tough car to drive.
-All 3 tracks. Load these with AD1 and tick "spawn at original location".
-Acf sounds for the rally engines.
-Sounds that the akare uses for the transmission whine and horn.
Group 1 rules:
-Total vehicle weight must be between 1000 and 1300 kg. Use a total mass tool to find this out.
-Use ACF 1.6 liter engine to power the vehicle. Only acf is allowed to power the vehicle; no thrusters, applytorque, etc, will be
allowed. Using the six speed racing gearbox is recommended.
-Group 1 car must have only 1 driven axle. This means your car should only be rear wheel drive or front wheel drive.
-car must have a full body and resemble a car.
If you wish to use the Akare, here's a basic rundown:
-It is kind of hard to drive. It's rear wheel drive. It will try to countersteer on its own when oversteering (fishtailing) so try to
watch your corrections, or you will tankslap (car will slide left and right uncontrollably)
You'll be given the dupes to them through this, but upon the race you'll be supplied with a car from Karbine to ensure the car hasn't
been tampered with.
Controls:
WASD - movement
M1 - Shift up
M2 - Shift down
R - Reverse gear (press again for forward. shift up afterwards.)
Space - Handbrake
Alt - Horn
Flashlight - Headlamps
Shift - 3rd person, Scroll wheel to switch cameras

I think it's really neat how you actually offer money
sounds rad yet I can't build.
sounds rad yet I can't build.
this is why he included the dupe of the car in the video.
It appears i'm missing the 1.6l, I have a 1.8 I4 petrol though.
How are you going to fight the lag issues? Maybe have everyone's car checked by the staff so it's not a huge lag fest?
How are you going to fight the lag issues? Maybe have everyone's car checked by the staff so it's not a huge lag fest?
Yeah was about to ask if there's a propcount limit?
I have a BMW E30 M3 all ready for class 2 racing. Also is it $10 for the overall winner or the winner of each class.
only one car runs at a time, so lag isn't really a problem
I downloaded the pack just because I was interested. I tried to spawn your rallycar, but I'm apparently missing models or something, and every time I tried to unfreeze it, my game would crash.
In other news, I was able to get an ACF engine to actually work properly a bit ago. I feel so proud of myself :v:
i'm going to slate the rally for next weekend, it was just too short notice with 1 week of build time. Also, my mouse died.
Also, my mouse died.
RIP, poor little fellow :smith:.
Maybe I'll fiddle around a bit with the Beetle and cut down most of it to make it rally ish. A week gives me some time to get known to ACF too, even though I probably won't use it for much more than the race.
joystick mod allowed?
Sounds interesting. I could potentially make a rally stripped down version of my fairlane..
joystick mod allowed?
Yes
i keep forgetting to install that to my server/minedog
Joystick will make this really fun then
What is this? ORIGINALITY?! That's fucking unheard of!
Seriously though looks cool.
nice video mang
Alright my BMW is re-specced for Class 1, now I just hope I don't spin out from the RWD.
I'm terrible at making cars, can I mod the premade one a bit to my liking?
Is that 1.6 liter or 1.8 liter for the Division 1 league?
Also, I had intentions of entering, and I was working on a Lancia Delta-esque hatchback, but now I can't open any of the files associated with the project. I had quite a bit of time invested in the visuals, and now I'm pretty bummed that I lost it all. Darn.
I actually got that thing from 0-60 in nearly 4.5 seconds. I was proud.
no applytorque aye? so my Tranny E2 is out of the question? ;P
Nope, rules say only ACF, which includes it's own transmission set.
Sounds awesome.
I'd build a Mini Cooper classic but I'm on my mouseless laptop for the next two weeks..
All these lamentations...
I'm terrible at making cars, can I mod the premade one a bit to my liking?
I suppose you can as long as it doesn't break the rules
looks neat are you think of doing other challenges like this like the baja or on road racing?
I suppose you can as long as it doesn't break the rules
I ended up making my own, works p good.
tho way out of group 1 limits so it's a group 3 car.
I found out that the public car has a rear thruster stabilizer on it! This must be stopped at once.

read the rules again, nothing saying that that isn't allowed.
