Do i have to turn off steam completely when I am downloading addons, or is it just the game that needs to be shut off?
It wasnt working for me before so I had to turn off steam.
Just a Garry's Mod restart.

Ok, thanks.
I usually just disconnect from the server i'm on and reconnect. Works when i'm missing a map or some addon.
