I want to make some funny cartoons like RubberFruit did on YouTube using the half life characters and settings. What do I need? I ave an ancient version of half life somewhere.

gmod , good posing , and a strange or random sense of humor if you want movement try using h.a.t tool
You can use stopmotion screenshot by screenshot (Gmod Camera+Physgun+Gmod cell),if you think using this method is painful as hell,try to use The HAT Tool to do better movements (But you will need fraps or something to record because the animation happen in-game) and use sony vegas or some another editing video program to convert the video in HD if you want
If you want to be just like rubber fruit,you need to have a Epic crazy random sense of humor and good posing with ragdolls
