Hello all, I am trying to resurrect my GMod servers after years of neglect. It is currently running DarkRP on rp_flatgrass_final.
It uses a few addons but they are rather large, I am considering removing neurotech to cut down on download times and such.
The addons in use currently are; Sakarias Cars 2.0 Complete, Neurotech(All), Siminov's Firearms Source 1.1a, and that is all I can at least remember right now.
The server is centered around semi-serious RP, running DarkRP only until the custom gamemode is done. We have friendly staff and I myself am usually on whenever possible, there to provide any help I can. There are few rules, in order to create a more free-form roleplay.

The gamemode that I am working on is made with moderate roleplay in mind, featuring many ideas to enhance your experience. Unlike in DarkRP, the mayor plays a major role in the game. The mayor is elected for a 20-minute term, during which he is able to do such things as appoint the Chief Of Police, or COP for short, who can then do things such as hire officers and purchase equipment. He is also the one able to grant licenses to other players, to do things such as start businesses and own firearms, with there being quite a few businesses to deal in. It also has ways to encourage people to play. Like there is a bank in-game that you can deposit money into, whilst on the server you gain interest regularly, but be warned that leaving will reset the timer and it will only work while actually on the server.
To be implemented there will be a unique law enforcement system as well, with a criminal able to become a six star threat, at which point the National Guard is dispatched and the authorities will shoot to kill, no longer attempting to arrest. So, that being said, [b][i][u]don't go too far.[/b][/i][/u] If you must know the National Guard will employ tanks, perhaps even attack helicopters to terminate you. I also am investigating a means of which to show to any law enforcement officials who's jurisdiction it is in they will be shown each criminal's last known location, and each time a criminal is spotted their last known location is updated.
To those of you who prefer the less... desirable line of work, there are many ways to profit. For starters, there is the bank. Doing so will grant you an immediate 5-stars, but being able to escape, stash, and regain the money will grant you a nice 200 thousand. Of course you can also steal cars, which there will be as well. You have nothing to gain by murder, RDM is discouraged. Killing someone will give you nothing, and will only make them lose their own wealth.
I also looking for a means to found a internet radio, to use with Sakarias Cars tailored specifically for the server. It will serve as a measure of immersion and depth.
