SENTs in Addon not loading?

Hello.

This has been bugging me since the release of gmod10 i think.

I will give an example.

I download a SENT at garrysmod.org, and extract it to my garrysmod/addons folder. I create a listen server, sandbox gamemode. The SENT is not showing up in the SENTs spawn menu.

I copy the lua file from the SENT to garrysmod/gamemodes/sandbox/gamemode/entities, and i create a listen server again, and then it shows up in the SENTs spawn menu.

Isn't it supposed to work if you just put it in the addons folder?

Do i have to restart garrys mod to load newly added files in the Addons folder?
