so here is the situation , i love gmod , i got 400 hours played in gmod and had a lots of gamemodes in it , and recently i camed across a mod called Morbus for gmod , so i downloaded it and connected into the server (dont remember if the sound was working right or not )  and the game was working fine until it freezed and the sound was laged as well and no CTD , so i manualy closed it , at first i tryed checking game integrity but it didnt wored.
After that i deleted Gmod files with steam and then I deleted the whole Gmod Folder manualy .
I instaled Gmod again and added just a Morbus Gamemode , i connected to the server and i saw that sound wasnt working as it should , for example had walking shounds , i heard players voices but i didnt heared sound of opening doors .
Then i exited game to menu and i realized that menu sound was gone too . I checked Sound settings in game and in wndows but nothing .
Then i tried to launch a singleplayer game and it even didnt started it , it allways got stuck on collecting game resources or something ...

Same stuff happens to me too, no Garry's Mod sound apart from ambiance.
