OK, I'm really new to gmod, so call me a minge if you want.
When I press c in game, there's no menu that appears, I just get a pointer cursor that I can move around, but no menu.
q menu works fine, i should add.

It only works if you have a tool out, I believe. Type "bind c" in console and paste what it says here?
