does darkrp require a rp map for it to work on gmod 13?

Whenever i try to load dark rp, its always sandbox on gm_construct. I wanted to configure dark rp on gm_construct then find a rp map later. It'd be great if this could be answered without acting like a smart ass.

As your start up parameters.

sv_gamemode and sv_defaultgamemode were removed.

In autoexec.cfg and server.cfg put this:

gamemode "darkrp"

Make sure it's lowercase, I had "DarkRP" and it didn't work. It should be "darkrp". Rename the folder to lowercase also.
